Donate to help families in need.

At Scrap2Home, our volunteers collect scrap wood - wood normally sent to a dumpster and then to the landfill - and use it to build furniture for people who cannot afford to buy it. Every donation helps a family furnish their home, one piece at a time.

Since 2020, Scrap2Home has upcycled over 16 tons of wood into 1,000+ pieces of furniture.

Why We Do It

Each year, construction and demolition companies send an estimated 36 million tons of wood to landfills. In addition, there are thousands of people in the Cincinnati region who would benefit from free furniture.

“We hope to live in a world where waste is eliminated and landfills are no longer needed; a world where items that normally would be thrown away are reused, repurposed, or recycled.”

How We Do It

Our wooden furniture is built to last. We construct each piece to ensure strength, durability, and stability. All items are sanded before finishing with stain or paint.
